CROSS-COUNTRY SKI TRAILS IN AU AND SCHOPPERNAU
In the entire cross-country skiing and skating area covered by Au and Schoppernau, cross-country skiers have almost 63 km of trails at their feet. The majority of the trails are designed for skaters and classic style cross-country skiers and are excellently prepared. The ideal location on top of a high plateau ensures guaranteed snow in the centre. The cross-country skiing season lasts over one hundred days on average. Enough time to forget about everyday life whilst gliding along gently under the snow covered branches.
WINTER HIKING IN AU AND SCHOPPERNAU
Enjoy nature whilst winter hiking in the Bregenz Forest. Over 40 km of perfectly prepared winter hiking trails in Au and Schoppernau invite you to come for winter walks. The hiking trails often run parallel with the cross-country ski trails and are laid out in a way that prevents you from sinking into the snow when going on winter hikes with normal winter boots.
TOBOGGANING IN AU AND SCHOPPERNAU
Tobogganing means having fun: six natural toboggans totalling approx. 5 km in length ensure a great experience for both young and old. Sleds can be borrowed for free at the hotel. A variety of natural toboggan runs such as the toboggan run at Neuhornbachhaus or the one at the Bergkristallhütte promise a speedy journey down the valley.
